## What Lumeo does

Lumeo is not a payments app. It is the financial operating system Indian freelancers and exporters use once a cross-border payment lands, replacing the manual, CA-dependent process of getting compliant and tax-ready:

1. **Auto-FIRA generation** — the moment a cross-border payment is confirmed, a Foreign Inward Remittance Advice is generated automatically, no bank visit or manual request required.

2. **Reconciliation** — every payment is matched against its invoice reference and posted to a double-entry ledger, so tax figures always trace back to a real, reconciled transaction rather than an estimate.

3. **Tax calculation** — GST applicability under LUT (Letter of Undertaking) and income tax liability under Section 44ADA (presumptive taxation) are computed automatically on every reconciled payment.

4. **ITR-4 prefill** — the year-to-date income total used for ITR-4 (44ADA) filing updates automatically as payments settle, instead of being assembled once a year from spreadsheets and bank statements.

5. **AI CFO** — a natural-language financial layer that understands the user's compliance position and answers questions about tax liability, GST exposure, and cash flow directly, instead of requiring a CA to translate the numbers.

6. **Cross-border settlement** — the entry point into the product: fast, low-cost payment receipt across USD, EUR, GBP, and other major currencies, which triggers the compliance pipeline above.

This full sequence — money in, auto-FIRA, reconcile, tax calc, ITR-4 prefill, yield allocation — is referred to internally as the compliance flow.
